Port Wakefield Overpass and Highway Duplication Nears Completion

Two of our road safety auditors recently completed a post-opening audit of the Port Wakefield Overpass and Highway Duplication.

The $124.5M project provides separated northbound and southbound carriageways for Port Wakefield Highway and grade separation for movements between Port Wakefield Highway, Copper Coast Highway and Augusta Highway. This grade separation importantly removes the notorious ‘crash corner’, with heavy congestion previously seen for southbound traffic traveling from the Yorke Peninsula via Copper Coast Highway during holiday periods.

HDS Australia has supported the Port Wakefield to Port Augusta (PW2PA) Alliance through all stages of the project so far (design, construction / temporary works and post-construction) and we’re pleased to see this vital road safety upgrade operational for the public.
