Road Safety Barriers Technical Training

Gagan has recently completed the Road Safety Barriers Technical Training delivered by Safe System Solutions in Melbourne.

Every year in Australia, more than 1,000 people are killed on our roads, and over 5,000 are seriously injured. Run off-road and head-on crashes continue to be among the most severe crash types, causing significant harm to individuals, families, and communities.

This training focused on how better road and roadside design can genuinely save lives. By reducing the likelihood of crashes and limiting the severity of injuries when crashes do occur, well-designed road safety barriers play a critical role in a Safe System approach. These barriers are more than infrastructure, they are life-saving devices.

The course was an intensive, hands on program, combining technical theory, coursework, and a practical field exercise. The on-site component allowed our engineer to apply barrier design principles in real-world conditions, turning theory into practice.

This training strengthens our ability to deliver safer road designs and reflects our ongoing commitment to improving road safety outcomes for the communities we work in.
