Seaford and Frankston have new shared paths

HDS Australia undertook a feature survey, functional stage design, detailed stage design, and documentation for our client, Frankston City Council.

The 1.2km long shared path on Dandenong Road East is abutting the railway line and provides commuters convenience and safe access to Frankston Railway Station. This shared path was also identified as a missing link for the local shared path network in the previous Local Area Traffic Management Study undertaken by HDS Australia in 2018.

The short section of shared path is located on the south side of Seaford Road from Nepean Highway to Kananook Creek Trail in Seaford, providing good connectivity between the popular trail and Seaford beach.  A pedestrian refuge island has also been installed to improve pedestrian safety when trail users cross Seaford Road.
