TPA and Young IPWEA’s Smarter Networks, Greener Streets Seminar

Great to see our team getting involved in the industry beyond the day-to-day project work. 👏

Last Friday two of our engineers, Alex John and Richard Medhurst represented HDS Australia at the jointly hosted TPA and Young IPWEA’s Smarter Networks, Greener Streets – Transport Talks Seminar and Lawn Bowls event.

Following some insightful and encouraging presentations on safer cycling route planning, smart green infrastructure and advancements in AI-powered transport data collection, industry professionals hit the greens to test their bowling skills.

After a tightly contested final, Alex and Richard managed to find the edge in the final tie-breaker to take out the 2026 Lawn Bowls Championship title. 🏆 A fantastic effort and a great way to cap off an afternoon of industry collaboration.

Events like this are a great reminder of the value of the transport and engineering community in South Australia – bringing people together to share ideas, learn from one another, and build strong professional relationships.
